Problem

The existing lawn was in poor condition — overrun with weeds, excessive moss, and debris, leaving the turf patchy and beyond the point where routine maintenance could restore it.

Process

The existing turf was cut and cleared, the soil tilled to break up compaction, then topped with screened topsoil and starter fertilizer worked into the root zone. The area was hand-graded smooth, fresh sod laid tight seam to seam, and the whole lawn rolled with a water-filled roller to press it firmly into the soil before an immediate first watering.
